kajsa

Let me guess! You've been wondering how to pronounce my name this whole time...? Think Asia with a 'K' in front and you've got Kajsa. Fun fact, it's Swedish for Catherine (no, I'm not Swedish). I'm originally from Rhode Island (yes, it's a state; no, it's not part of Long Island, NY). I currently live in sunny Orange County, California with my husband Jeremy and our two pups Floyd & Nala. In my free time, you will find me listening to 90s R&B and Hip-Hop, on the hunt for the next best thrift find, catching pilates (and saving $$) on Classpass, glued to my emotional support Kindle, watching the Rush Hour movies, or planning my next trip out of the country. Because let's be real, there is so much to see and learn elsewhere.

jeremy

By now you probably guessed that I'm married to Kajsa. But I'm also the eye behind the lens and editor! A few things about me: I am originally from California, but grew up in Southern Florida. The majority of my professional experience comes from customer service and sales, which makes me the people-person that I am. In my spare time, you'll find me at the beach, traveling to Mexico, going to surf or for a hike, editing endless hours of video, or loading something heavy (like a pottery wheel) into the truck that Kajsa found for free on Facebook Marketplace and didn't need, but just had to have (yes, this is a true story). She really has me out here working overtime...

Long story, (not) short:

In 2020, Jeremy and I decided to move back to California after our long-term stay with family in Rhode Island turned short. When I learned I could no longer work remotely as Marketing and Sales Event Manager, we found ourselves having a pretty big decision to consider. And as we drove cross country, we had plenty of time to weigh all my options including the pros and cons of each. Sure, I could go back to Corporate America with a steady paycheck, or I could take a risk and start a business in the middle of a pandemic.

Let's just say, you already know what happened next.

To say we hit the ground running is an understatement. By three months in, I was fully booked and loving every minute of it. At first, I offered every service under the sun such as administrative, event planning, marketing and social media, and websites, and I worked with a variety of people such as coaches, non-profits, realtors, and even celebrities. But as time went on, I continued to find that niching down even further was crucial to the efficiency and success of my business. So I decided to focus solely on social media.

In the fall of 2023, just after celebrating my three year business anniversary and four year wedding anniversary, I hit a block in every sense of the word. Emotionally, mentally, and even physically. Not only was I burnt out, but I also was starting to question myself, what I was doing, and if it was worth it to keep going. In that period of discomfort and challenging how I had been operating, I found more clarity than I could have ever hoped for. I found a renewed purpose in myself and a renewed focus in my business.
